    X60 Tyre Pressures

the note on the door pillar has nothing in relation to towing. Just 3 passengers or 5. The Volvo online manual just has one set of recommended tyre pressures. From memory for three occupants.

    X60 Tyre Pressures

Just changed my Subaru for a 2018 XC60 D5. Anyone know what the recommended tyre pressures are for the XC60 when towing a caravan, max laden weight 1500kg, nose weight 90kg. Subarus have a specific recommendation for the outback. Can’t find anything specific in Volvo documentation. Just want an...

Breakaway cable with detachable tow bar

Thanks. I will ditch the shackle concept and just clip direct on Monday.

Breakaway cable with detachable tow bar

So just clip on the eyelet? No attempt to loop the cable through it? Because, certainly on mine, that is impossible. And direct clipping on was advised against on the CMC course I attended.

Breakaway cable with detachable tow bar

Our car has a detachable tow bar. What is the recommended/legal way to attach a breakaway cable? As obviously just looped around the tow bar doesn’t cover a problem with the tow bar. There is nowhere on the chassis that the cable can loop round. the instructor on my towing course said he used a...

    Minimum Noseweight

I know the maximum nose weight for my car and tow ball is 90kg, and we ensure we don’t exceed that. But is there a minimum noise weight you should stay above? Or a typical allowance below the maximum? My wife and I both attended club courses but can’t remember a minimum being mentioned. We...

How hard do you pull the handbrake on.

Good to have confirmation that the technician was right about the assisted levers. I have been underneath, with mover engaged and stays down, while my wife operated the handbrake in the approved manner. No sign of anything fouling etc. our manual application of the lever had certainly had it...

How hard do you pull the handbrake on.

When we got home there was no sign of undue warmth on either brake, so no sign if brakes binding etc. This was a technician from a highly regard, reputable dealer/service centre. So no real reason to doubt what he said.

How hard do you pull the handbrake on.

We had our first trip with our new caravan last week. It was our first ever caravan trip. My wife and I had both been on club towing courses where it was emphasised to give the handbrake an extra ”tug” to make sure it is on properly. which we have been doing. However when we went to leave site...

Milenco Grand Aero vs Grand Aero Platinum

Really struggling with the flat glass Milenco Aero 3 mirrors that came in our dealer kit and need to try something else. Looking at the Grand Aero or Grand Aero Platinum with convex standard glass. Any recommendations on one over the other, and why? tow car is Subaru Outback and caravan is 2022...
