    GHOSTS IN THE CARAVAN

Dave, Was your door unlocked in the morning?! Could it be that someone tried to nick it during the night but got distrubed?! I think the living worry me more than the dead!!!! Vicky

    Is your caravan "see-through"

Hi Rubix, We have a Compass Librerte with fixed bed and it's a see through model, so you can have both. I think the the Bailey Vendee is a similar layout , but I could be wrong. Vicky

Wing mirrors in France for a 4x4?

Hi all, We tow with a 4x4 and can see without extenders, so don't use them. We also have a see through van, so could see if there was a car or motorbike behind us that may be obscured from our side view... so is it a legal requirement that we still use extenders?! Vicky

DENT DENT DENT-THE ú846.00 FREE KICK

That's what makes you a responsible parent Julie. Unfortunately the same can't be said for all adults... which is such a shame for the kids that aren't taught any respect and a real worry for the caravanners that work hard to have nice (and very often) expensive 'vans.

    Who's got a poor towcar?

We've only been caravanning for a short time, but got rid of our Range Rover 2.5TD Auto, as it would overheat every time we towed the caravan up a hill. I think it was just a good excuse for my hubby to change it! He changes his cars more of than... well you all know the saying!

    Caravaning Misconceptions

Hi Clive, We've been to Adelaide 3 times to see my brother-in-law, but went to Brisbane once to see his son... Much much hotter up there than in SA, so pack plenty of sun block and a big hat (corks optional)! Don't know about in Qlds, there's loads in the Barossa Valley in SA, which is...

    Caravaning Misconceptions

Clive, Try a place called Maloolaba; if think that's how you spell it, if you're in the Brisbane area. Pretty seaside town and not as commercialised as Surfers Paradise! Vicky

    When to leave ..

I live off of the A303 in Somerset and there are stretches of single-carriageway, hence the traffic bottlenecks. Normally around Stonehenge and Sparkford and it can be a nightmare at peak times (Bank & Summer holidays). Vicky

    Never and Always

Never leave your handbag on the front seat of your car in full view for all and sundry to see! Which is exactly what I did on our very first trip out in our caravan. Moved my car off the drive, hubby move his car and van off and I parked mine back on the drive. Drove to the New Forest from...

1st TIMERS TO SPAIN & FRANCE

Hi, We would like to take a ferry to Spain and then travel across the Pyrenees then catch the ferry home from France or vice-versa. Can anyone give any advice on Ferries & Good Sites etc? We have done driving and biking holidays in France before, but never in Spain & never towing (we're new...

    Jeep Cherokee 2.8

Hi Jane, We tow our Compass Liberte with Jeep Grand Cherokee 2.7(I think) auto diesel and before that we have a Range Rover 2.5TD. Now this is only my hubbies opinion (no WW-III please) but he thinks it's a much better towing vehicle and says you hardly notice the 'van on the back. I'm not...
