12 core towing cable

Hi all.
I'm hoping someone can help? Does the 12 core towing cable connect underneath the A frame on a Bailey unicorn lV Vigo? I need to replace a short length of cable and was hoping there is connection box under the A frame.

On any caravan we have had the cable runs into the caravan by the fuse box. Not had the Bailey, but I assume it is the same, the best way to find out is follow the run of the cable. A box outside the caravan would be in the muck thrown up from the road and too vulnerable.

Normally a run into the fuse box, why have connections under an A frame subject to road spray and dirt ?

If it is like my U4 Seville you will find the cable enters at the front possibly nearside where the fridge wiring is extracted and fused. Thereafter the cable goes to the power box for some wires and to the rear/sides/front for running and marker lights.

Hi,
Not the same van,however we had to replace a cable that had dragged on the road,At the caravan end the cable terminated directly into a fuse box.What we did was cut the cable inside the van and fitted a junction box with a new plug and cable just match up the colours at the JB - easy

Given it was November last year when you posted your question about replacing the towing cable on your Vigo, I hope you've been able to get it sorted by now. I have exactly the same van with the same problem and therefore was hoping to tap into your new found knowledge of where the cable terminates and ask if it was it a straightforward job?
(Ironically the damaged occurred on the journey back from its first service).
