12V and Microwave

Sorry for the "stupid question time'.
I have just bought a Swift Challenger 540 with a 100AH Leisure battery, It's fully charged and I'm very happy with it.
My question is "can I use my microwave fitted in the van with the leisure battery or do I need to be hooked up to the mains?".
Phew, managed to get the question in without feeling too stupid!
My last caravan was only really ever hooked up to the mains, and in any case didn't have a microwave in it!.
Getting there, slowly but surely.... tahnks for any advice,... again!

Hi, not a stupid question, better to ask if your unsure.
unfortunatly the microwave can only be used if connected to the mains.
vans are not fitted with any sort of 240v power inverters.
