The extra length of the adaptor from the single socket on my car to the 2 caravan cables makes them hang down to the ground.

This problem has been mentioned before but this has worked for me.

I overcame this by simply holding each caravan cable out straight and giving it a twist from one end.

This forms a loop which "shortens" the cables and keeps them clear of the ground but still able to "stretch" when turning. It's then a bit like a "curly" cable.

Worked fine for me

A small bungee or velco strap put round cables and hitch handle also works well.

Or you can pull the grey and black cables back through their respective grommets and into the void within the A-Frame. Here it will be easy to take up any slack and tie them up with a couple of cable ties.

I recently discovered that my caravan cables had chafed on the ground whilst towing, since had them replaced , What I do now is loop round the cables with a elastic strap connect them to the the jockey whel , this has stopped the cables from hitting the ground.
