13 pin

Can anyone advise. Just had new towbar ftd with 13 pin electrics.when I connect it the motor mover comes on for a few seconds then stops.is this normal

NO, and it could be dangerous if the van moves whilst you are trying to connect it. Do you have an isolation switch for the mover and is it switched off?

Thanks .the mover isn't on the wheel. I just heard it turning.do u think the 13 pin is wired wrong.the isolator switch is off.the van is brand new so I would presume the wiring is correct

It will not be the motor mover working as that should be wired direct to the leisure battery.
I expect what you are hearing is the Al-Ko ATC actuating doing its self check.

Cheers.I previously had a 7 pin socket on my car and never heard anything.changed my car and had a 13 pin ftd to new tow bar which worried me a small bit when I hears the noise

If you had the single 7 pin socket previously that only supplied power to the road lights.
The 13 pin setup provides power to the fridge, ATC and battery charging whilst the car is connected to the van and you are mobile.

Damian is right, what you heard was your ATC setting itself. You will have a ATC actuation light fitted to your towbar fairing and this will have a green light come on briefly to confirm your ATC is set. Do not set off until you see this. The sound you hear at this time is merely the ATC performing its setting process.
