2007 Ace Award front window leaking

We were away the weekend in (not so sunny) Wales it rained day and night! To our horror we noticed that our front l/h window let in water. Looks as though it trickled down the rubber trim and settled in the lip on the inside of the window. We had to put loads of kitchen towel to soap up the water. On the Monday when finally it stopped raining we went out and brought some clear silicon sealant and sealed the window up. Unfortunately we had to go home on Monday and didnt get a chance to see if it worked!!
Has anyone else experienced this in their van and if so what did you do to remidy it?
Thanks in advance
Kay

Hi Kay,Thanks for the reply to my post.I checked our vans windows and it appears that the rain has only come in at the bottom of the window seal where we think the previous owner has put wires through and squashed the seal. There was only a small amount of water on the both seals on the bottom. We have had the van 3 years and have never had this problem before.I have spoke to our caravan engineer and he is going to have a check of the seals when we are out on the next rally in a fortnight. We too were in wales(Gower)and have to
say we have never see rain like it.Even the lanes from the site were flooded . Nellie
