I'm after some advice.

A friend has just bought a 2007 Ranger 550/6 and wanted to fit a stabiliser. The Alko is too expensive so they are looking at the Bulldog. The dealer has told them that they can't fit it to the A-frame without damage - Bailey have sent them (the friends) an e-mail saying that they can!

Does anyone have any experience of fitting a Bulldog to a recent Ranger?

Advice gratefully passed on.

I'd imagine it could be done by removing the a-frame fairing and cutting the stabiliser j-bracket to fit under the fairing when refitted. You must use a clamp on j-bracket to avoid drilling the chassis, and you should place a rubber pad between the j-bracket and chassis to prevent bimetallic reaction.

I have a 2006 Ranger 550/6. I use the bulldog 200Q blade type stabiliser. The part that fits to the frame was fitted by the dealer. It clamps direct to the A frame. The only adjustment I had to make was to cut a very small part of the plastic cover to allow the rest of the cover to sit flush with the A frame. I also had confirmation from the dealer that cutting the plastic cover in no way affected warranty etc.
