Do we wait for a new 2007 model which I think will come of the production line in Oct/Nov. Or buy one now in July?

Will the 2007 go up in price even though it is built in 2006?

Not sure what to do, as anyone else come up against this tough decision?

Allyson, we were in a similar position last year when we ordered our Oklahoma last July. Because of the popularity of the Series 5 we actually did not get the van until December which by then it was a 2006 model. However specification wise with a Bailey this does not make a great difference now they review a range every two or three years unlike the other manufacturers who tend to make cosmetic changes every Autumn. The Oklahoma is the first Bailey we have owned after always previously having Swift group vans. We are well impressed with the Bailey with the build quality in my opinion being far better than our previous Ace.

Would this make a difference to the price when we cam to selling it later on? Don't mean to be rude but did you pay the same price for the 2006 as you would have done for the 2005.

Like buying a car you can expect a slightly better trade in value by having a newer model, but this depends on how long you intend to keep the van and what condition it is in come the time to sell on. In the past I have always sold my vans privately as I have always been able to get more for them than the trade in value. We paid the same for the 2006 as the price is agreed when you decide to buy. The model had however gone up in price by a just over

Best wishes when you decide to change. Even though it is enjoyable picking up a new van it pays to take your time and if your current van is in good condition you should certainly have no problems getting a private sale more than the trade in value. The only extra charge you will pay is the delivery charge, the only other advise I would give is to be aware of the waiting list for Baileys, friends of ours are currently buying a Senator Louisiana and they have been given early October for delivery.

Did you see that comment on Fendt vans posted 24th may by Markwant regarding Bailey's roofs? Do you find it very noisey when it rains?

I have read the Fendt thread Allyson, but I must admit I have not noticed any more noise from rainfall on the roof of the Bailey to my previous Ace, and its had plenty of rain on it to test it!. The only noticeable difference is that the roof does not flex when you wash the van. Even though Bailey do not advise you to do this when they launched the Pageant Series 5 I recall seeing a photo with two guys stood on the roof. Proves the additional strength you get from a fully bonded constuction

The roof constuction appealed to my husband, along with the interior layout of course.

THERE WAS A PHOTO, I BELIEVE IT WAS IN P.C.MAG THAT HAD 6 PEOPLE STANDING ON THE SERIES 5 PAGEANT ROOF.
