2010 Bailey Olympus kitchen tap

Hi all,

Got a leak on my kitchen mixer tap from the joint just above the spout swivel body.
I have replaced the cartridge which I found quite an easy task,but still have the leak.I'm thinking it could be the 'o'' rings on the brass body.
I am really 'towing' (Yorkshire term for struggling) with unscrewing the top part of the tap that will allow me to lift the spout section away from the tap,all the assembly is turning and I dont want to create a problem with the underside of the tap,has anyone any tips for undoing this without removing the tap from the worktop ?

I guess it depends on the type of tap, but if you google 'leaking caravan tap spout' and scroll down to the vidoes you may find good advice pictorially!
