Anyone towing a caravan with one of these . I'm just about to have a tow bar fitted so I'm curious .Personally I think it'll be more than capable of pulling 980kgs .

You should look at the Owners Manual, V5 and the cars weight tally plates. Just because it's got a gutsy engine you cannot assume anything regarding its towing specification. These sources of info will give you max tow weight, nose weight, gross train weight, gross vehicle weight and max weight front and rear axles.
