4 X 4 s (And the problem is ??)

Well I do not see what the problem is I have had many cars and and 4 X 4s. I am also a HGV driver it sould be left to the indaviduals needs not what Mr Green save the planet has to say

Whilst I can understand your stance on the sniping that comes with this subject, do you not feel that the wish of members to discuss it has been lent some legitimacy by the very actions of the magazine publishing in recent months the prejudiced views of the self righteous??

The subject matter has been debated over and over ad infinitum on this and other forums.

It often leads to argument and rancour because internet posts are 'live' and on this particular forum once a post is submitted it can't be edited or altered except by the moderators or admin. and then only after it has been submitted and seen by others who might take issue with it.

It's not up to me to decide what subjects are discussed on this forum but with the greatest of respect to all concerned it is up to me to decide if I want to sit here at my desktop p.c. away from my family and domestic commitments for hours and hours attempting to sort out silly online arguments between grown up's who ought to know better.

Internet forums such as this can be great sources of information and debate but sometimes those submitting posts act like a nice mild mannered person who changes when they get behind the wheel of their car into a cursing snarling bundle of aggression and then revert to their normal self after they park the car.

I don't know why this happens (perhaps another subject for debate :0) ) but unfortunately it does.

So..... if anyone has anything new or constructive to add, fine, go ahead but the technical limitations of this internet forum mean that we can't 'lock' or move topics so at the first sign of trouble it goes, Sorry.

The only truly green people are the ones who decide not to have children - they are not adding to the human race. Next time a tree hugger gives you grief for having a 4 by 4 ask him/her how many kids they've got? That type usually have dozens!

I own a 4x4 and no one has ever given me so much as a second glance.

The 'tree huggers' probably don't have a television which may account for the kids ;0)
