47-8

Did you see that? I had a little flutter that we would put 50 points on the Italians, but I was happy enough to lose that bet. What odds now on the Triple Crown, or even the Grand Slam? I'm a little bit worried about the Leprachauns though.

I've just been had by Her Ladyship. She said we will watch the CL DVDs we bought tonight to find somewhere to go in May. I said ok but on reflection I thought it was a bit odd why she doesn't want to watch her usual Saturday night crap. The I twigged, rugby is on and now if I want to see tomorrow I daren't go back on my word and tell her I want to watch England play. Wimp or what :O(

Perhaps the way they are playing it's best if I don't watch :O) All I can hope is they get a drubbin'. I will feel better then for missing it.

Well done the Taffs.

LB, I left the pub at hlf-time in the Ireland -Scotland game, after watching our lads sort out the Italians, but I won't be watching the England game, cos after a few pints of Guiness and a half-time (free) feed of sausage and chips, I'll just collapse in a heap. Besides, I AIN'T GOT NO TELLY!!

Does this not answer your question in another thread, "why do you want a telly"? Although, having had the damn thing on for hours now while himself has watched all three matches,(one still in progress)I can really see your point.

Mel, going to the pub to watch Welsh rugby is a bit like going to the pictures - its a rare treat! I will not pay the grossly inflated price for tickets to see it live, so the pub is the next best option. We do have a DVD player, but again, our viewing is very selective, and I don't have to pay a licence fee for the mindless drivel which appears to be presented as entertainment nowadays. That's my choice, but to each his own.

How biased can the BBC get - England beat France and they now reckon they are the favourites for the championship. No mention of Wales so far being the only unbeaten team in this years championship. England are at present fourth in the table with Wales, Ireland and France above them. Still someone has got to support them I suppose. Mind you it appears that Jonny Wilkinson has God on his side the way he clasps his hands before taking a kick - maybe a little prayer to help the ball on the way.

I must have been listeninig to a different comentary,I did not hear that england were now favorites, just that they will be back in the running when Ireland and france beat wales.

Good for you, haven't had a telly for over 20 years. It's amazing how many people feel sorry for us!
