4X4 Topic.............Deleted

The 4X4 topic which was started has been deleted.

1 It was in the wrong section,,,should have been in Towcars as has been requested ad infinitum.

2 Personal insults already happening.

Was that the one about fewer 4 X 4 on the motorway.

I hope that my reply wasn't construed as an insult

It wasn't meant that way

I've been installing a new loo all day so missed any further postings

I think a lot depends on what time of day you go on the motorway

We came back from Cheddar at 7.30am on a Sunday and saw very few caravans or cars and even less on our detour through Symmonds Yat

But that is another Sat Nav story(red face)

I was making my way home to Hereford from the Forest of Dean earlier this year and for interest used my Sat Nav because I get lost easily down in the Forest. My Sat Nav brought me back through Symonds Yat but by then knew where I was. I wanted to get home via Mitcheldean and Ross. Thankfully I never had a caravan on the back. I can imagine the looks you must have got.

Hi Lb

We live at the top of a very narrow twisting 1 in 4 hill with Not Suitable for Heavy Goods Vehicles signs but since our excursion through Symmonds Yat I have far more sympathy with the lorry drivers who venture down and have to reverse back up!!

It was the Sunday of the big floods and a motorway fire with M5 closed and we only met 4 other vehicles in 2 X 2 formation but it felt as though an extra layer of wax on the van would have made it too wide
