5 van sites alongside canels, rivers and the sea.

we find small sites more relaxing and generally cheaper, but like sites adjacent to water, with or without hook up, if you know of any please reply. Thanks

Whitehall farm near Weedon in west Northamptonshire. Its a CL with a tap and waste emptying and that's it but is right on a stretch of the Grand Union Canal with lovely views and plenty of space. There are also shops and restaurants in nearby villages (Walkable)

If you are a CC member, you can search their website for CLs with various attributes eg. fishing, pubs and (dare i say it) adults only.

Hi,

There is a site a couple of miles outside Devizes in Wiltshire called Lower Foxhangers http://www.foxhangers.com/camping.cfm

It is a C&CC CS site, but also has another field for about 6 units. The family that run this site have a canal boat hire buisness and marina a short walk from camp site, it's on the Kennet and Avon canal and walking distance to the famous Caen Hill Locks. (There is a lovely cafe at the top of the flight of locks.

The pitches are a couple of minuites walk down a lane from the canal. We stayed there a couple of years ago and it was really nice.

Also in the same area is the C&CC club site which is actually on the canal, but I haven't ever stayed there. Although the club site is called the Devizes site it is a few miles from Devizes, Foxhangers is closer to Devizes if you want to be able to walk there you can follow the towpath.
