We have had a Halfords 90amp battery for 5 years and its still going strong.

It fitted curently to our Swift Challenger 550LSE.

The question is , we are buying an Ace Viscount twin axle job, next year , and will this battery live up to the task?

The Ace has a lot more 12v electrics to sap the battery than the Swift.

I would make the comment that you have had a good return from the battery as is. As it is still working I would go ahead and use it in your new van until it conks out, by then you will know if it is man enough for all you want. I think it probably will be. Unfortunately, you don't get part exchange on batteries so there is no value in the old one, except to you. If you are fitting a motor mover to your new van, then there may be an issue if you use that item a lot.

We had an 85amp hour battery for several years and it worked the mover fine.

We now have a 110 amp hour battery which is also fine but a lot heavier.

We have the van on charge at home/on tow/on site but if we were to use CL's with no charger then it would be worth having bigger battery.

If you are usually on hook up a modern charger/transformer will power your van OK
