It isn't difficult to get to. The easiest way is to take the M6, then the junction 36 for the A65 (Kendal one way, probably signnposted Kirby Lonsdale the other), then take a left turn just after the village of Lupton. Dogleg a bit, through Newbiggin, and Whin Yeats is on your left. Haven't actually stayed there, but a friend of mine used to work in that area years ago!

Have you looked at Google Maps, rather than Google Earth?
 
Nice area, by the way! Nice pub, too, doing good meals in the village on the A65. We live in West Yorkshire, and used to drive up there for Mother's Day.
