A few shots to whet the appetite.

The following were taken on our trip to the Salzkammergut (Austrian lake District) last year. Not much flat ground for a pitch Im afraid.

1) You have all seen the shots of Adolf and Eva on the wall at the Eagles nest. This is the view from the wall.

2) The cablecar ride up the Untersberg, quite a wild ride on the day.

3) Hohenwerfen castle, the set for the filming of "Where Eagles Dare". Note there is no cable car at Hohenwerfen. The famous scenes were shot elsewhere.

4) The following few are on the Hochalpenstrasse or Grossglockner. Its a 40 ish KM run over these roads, and every inch of it is like the pics.

5) This is the view from the top of the Schaffberg, overlooking Mondsee. The railway journey up here was amazing.

6) And finally, madam, who suffers from vertigo braved the glass floor on this, one of the five fingers in Dachstein.
