A quick Hello

Hi,

I am new to caravanning and just bought a 1994 compass 4 berth. I had never set foot in a caravan until a couple of weeks ago when i realised that with a 2 year old son and a new one due in July we wouldnt be doing our usual ammount of tenting this year.

I am really looking forward to getting out for the first time but dosent look like that will be till next weekend now.

Well be prepared for some pretty daft questions from me as i find my feet.

Cheers

Welcome Alex

I am sure you and your expanding family will thoroughly enjoy 'vanning. Quite different to tenting and much easier (as a former tenter I can confirm this) with a family.

Don't worry about asking questions. Forum members are very informative and willing to pass on their tips. Remember we are never too old! On our last holiday (25 years vanning) we gained a great tip:

When the car is parked facing the sun - put the wiper blades on folded newspaper to stop them sticking to the windscreen. This protects them (at very little expense) from deteriorating whilst on site. This is a good idea when at home also if your car is not 'garaged'.

Good luck with your future holidays. I am sure you and your kid(s) will enjoy every minute.

Ann
