A real find

Perhaps off topic but.....
Took the car in for it's MoT last week. 2009 2.0 crdi KIA Sportage . The drivers seatbelt was picked up as frayed - I think the previous owner kept catching it in the door. Also N/S outboard driveshaft gaiter split. The gaiter was fairly standard, though a fair task to change. The seatbelt however was another matter as a new item from Kia is £270. I found a company called FDTS Ltd, who are in West Byfleet, that refurbish seatbelts. I drove over there today, took off the belt and they rewebbed the seatbelt whilst I waited and had a coffee. Less than half an hour and it was all done - £28+vat and its as good as new. They can match any bely, any colour. Great service. [🙂]

Thats a useful post, as I hadn't really thought about such an MoT fault. Guess ether will be others around the country too. Looking at their website they could have made me some longer off road towing belts for when I went greenlaning. Clearly a specialist company.

When I got there they were making up seatbelts for the armed forces. A small place but they were incredibly well organised.
