We are planning our 2011 return trip from Spain for end of March begining of April using the A75 and over Millau bridge.
We have a diesel 2007 honda CR-v and Bailley Olympus 534.
We have travelled this route many years ago pior to the bridge being built but with car only.
Could you please advise may we encounter any difficulties.

Many thanks for all the advice

Hi Gareth,
We have used this route a number of times, both solo and towing, most recently in August this year. It's a wonderful route with spectacular views and having the advantage of being toll free, except for the Millau bridge itself.
Depending on the weather and your weight ratio, you may need to be careful going up the hills. They are steep and very long - especially climbing from the south to the plateau above Millau. I suggest taking it slowly and in as low a gear as possible to avoid overheating. The day we did it, there were overheated vehicles beside the route all the way up!

For a reasonably match outfit no problems at all. The Millau bridge is well worth stopping to see. There is a good side in Milleau town and an exceptional viewpoint on the 'old' raod about 4 miles south ov Millau town where you can see not only the bridge but also the local eagles etc - and often look down on them - magic. There are visitors centres under the centre span of the bridge and at the northern end with time-lapse videos etc.of the construction. British architect - French engineers - how I would have loved to be a fly on the wall at the project meetings.

Site in the town is in the CC book and is just over the river from what used to be the main road round the town.
