Hi.. This caravan is new to us having upgaded from a 1986 lunar micron (great). We went away at the weekend and found the battery dropped off quite quickly probably due to the use of the mover, but I was surprised as I thought even if the battery was dead the charger would act as a 12v supply in its self , but even the water pump was struggling. The battery has now recharged fully so I dont belive that it is faulty.

Any advice would be great

Richard, I suspect you have a battery charger fitted that is only a trickle charger. There are power supplies/chargers that can run the 12v systems without the battery being fitted but perhaps yours isn't one of them.
