Abbey Wood, London

We are travelling from South Wales to Abbey Wood, for the first time, and are unsure which route to take. The Google route planner suggests a straight route, from the end of the M4 through London.

However, we thought that going anti clockwise around the M25 to Junction 1b, avoiding London, would be best.

Any suggestions most welcome.

Jo,

Personally I would go round the M25, it's a bit of a lottery either way with the traffic, but if you cut through London during the week you will have to pay the congestion charge.

Carry on to junction 2 of the M25, take the A2 as far as the Danson (Park)/ Bexleyheath junction.

The campsite is brown signed from then on. Do follow the brown signs as if you approach the site from Knee Hill it is a very tight turn.

Regards
