I was thinking the same thing. I think I posted something on here a couple of monthsa go and I can't remember reading any responses. Anyway, I applied and you've just reminded me that I haven't heard anything.

That's spooky ! I applied about a month ago and hadn't heard, got the agreement through yesterday. I reckon the delay may have been because Martin Lewis, the money saving guru was recommending it. Lots of applications.

Sorry jo, no help on using it abroad I'm afraid.

Can i just say i was a victim of fraud with my Abbey Zero card (probably my fault as i destroyed it but didnt block it- I learn!) and the service was amazing. They noticed , informed me, put private investigators onto it, reassured me on phone and by letter and recovered the money.
 
Ok, got my card now, all activated.

So, my thoughts are;I use this when I'm abroad to pay for fuel and shopping and I won't need to carry much cash.

If I use it to withdraw cash then I won't pay a fee but I will pay interest on it from the day I withdraw it. Couldn't I pay money in, say
