Hi, I’m new here but I’ve been maintaining and loving my abi sunstar for the last 15 years.
When I first got her I could find lots of info on fix’s but they seem a low on the ground these days.
So does anyone else have and love an Abi sunstar …. Mine I think is around 1994.
I have done so much work on her including rebuilding the front window frames after water damage but I have one thing I can never work out………. Which you would think was easy fix ….. change or get to the strip light in the kitchen light console (as it’s called in the wiring diagram) ??? What I would really like to do is take it to pieces so I can clean and respray it.
Any help or Abi chat most welcome.
Go go sunstars 🩷

This is the unit I can’t get into? It’s a mystery??? No screws in the cupboard above… no catches no screws? I can normally take anything apart, but without forcing it …. Has me stumped 🤔

I have posted on several caravan websites over the years without anyone answering. I asked a couple of dealers only to get the reply, never had to take one down. !!!!

ahhh interesting…. I’m wondering if it’s ment to slide across but the metal had rusted and now can’t move! I’m thinking a Stanley knive and wd40? Make sense due to the metal boxes either end? What do you think? Love that I’ve got someone to talk to about the ole bird.

You might be right, a sprung end connections maybe. I would have a look at Toads " VINTAGE" Threads.

Hi Gary, thanks I’m definitely going to devour those, very excited!
I guess Abi and me need to move gracefully to the vintage section, thank for the pointer, it’s my first time on a forum so leaning to navigate.
I changed Abi’s hat this weekend ….. or roof light as most would call it, I’d put it off for ages but was a quick and easy job. Super fun.
