Ace & Abbey brands dropped

I've seen this on another forum

Swift who manufacture Ace and Abbey caravans and motorhomes are about to drop these two brands from their range. Having already stopped making Bessacar caravans Swift will now make Swift, Sterling and Sprite tourers.

Its probably a logical move in the current difficult market place. Apart from cosmetic differences the brands were identical anyway.

Dear All,

We got this news confirmed this afternoon. It also spells the end of Ace as a motorcaravan brand too.

As Richard S suggests, Swift Group has confirmed that this will allow the company to remain competitive in a tough market.

Swift, Sterling and Sprite brands will be offered to all dealers who stock Abbey and Ace products presently.

Anybody who owns an Abbey or Ace tourer will have no problems at all with warranty or parts supply as Swift Group will support owners. And as the products are so similar, the dealers we've spoken to suggest that used prices on these models will not be affected.
