hi. my first post..
we bought an Adria adora isonzo this year and for the past 3 months the the shower tap has been leaking which means we have to turn the pump off when we aren't using a tap!! otherwise we can hear constant dripping and the pump constantly re-pressurising.
so far marquis have been useless as they didn't order the part for 7 weeks after we reported the leak and now don't seem to be able to get the new tap!!! I could go on but I won't.
so the question is has anyone got info on how to remove the shower panel the tap goes through and could I replace it with an after market tap?

Welcome to the forum.

I can’t directly help with your question, but consider that you may be able to remove the tap lever and you should find a ceramic cartridge. This should have a number on the side. Google the number for a new cartridge. You may also need to change some ‘o’ rings.

thanks hadn't considered I might be able to do it without removing the panel.

And why hadn’t Marquis considered that?

Have a look at the end (blue arrow), there may be a prize of button with a screw head under.

Otherwise, the lever (red), may unscrew with a grub screw under.

Yep should be an easy job. Grub screw usually hidden under the hot, cold indicator blob that is usually stuck on or in a recess.

I do not recommend that you do anything to the unit as that will invalidate the warranty for the shower. It also gives them the opportunity to squirm out of their obligations.
If this was reported within 6 months of taking delivery and you have given them ONE chance at repair and they have not been successful, under CRA 2015 you now legally have the option of requesting a full refund. That should focus their tiny minds!

Good to know. problem is ithat they say they cannot get the part and when they do the van has to be repaired at their site. this is a problem as we never tow our van as its permanently situated in dorset plus its about to go into winter storage. they insist they cannot come down to repair it !!!
the van has other issues too such as sealant round bathroom .there are others !!
just wish they showed a bit more care to their customers

Contact Adria and ask them to nominate an approved Adria agent in the area. Once you have that information go back to Marquis and tell them you have found an approved Adria technician in your area that can do warranty repairs.
I am sure that Adria do not have a network of dealers like most other brands and use approved Adria mobile technicains to do work throughout the UK. Maybe Damien can comment on this?

In these circumstances it is only the modern equivalent of changing a tap washer. Just general maintenance. Warrantees are only invalidated if it can be demonstrated that any future issues arose from work done. In this instance, Marquis don’t even need to know.

True, but they are replacing with an aftermarket tap so Marquis would know. May I suggest Googling Marquis for reviews?

No one is suggesting changing the tap, just the cartridge.

Jeza, you may find that the cartridge is fine. It could simply be the ‘O’ rings. Or a poor seating, or a bit of grit. If you can get it out, try cleaning it up and applying a little silicone grease.

I don’t know, but I would guess that if you needed to, the panel may simply hook on. So lift it straight up then out. The pipes are flexible to allow for this.

thing is. I can't find any cap or grub screw! I have fixed taps before so I know what I'm looking for. I just can't see how it is connected through the panel!

Did you try unscrewing the handle?

Another possibility is to look opposite the handle. See this video, it may be like this.
