Advice for painting walls

Hi all, I have a 2007 ultima and the bathroom walls could do with a freshen up, has anyone painted the walls and if so which type of paint is best .

I think it may be best to use wallpaper instead of painting? Painting would mean leaving the caravan well ventilated for 2 - 3 days or longer to get rid of the smell.
