Advice needed on planning a trip to Ireland

Hi Folks,

I know that strictly speaking Ireland(ROI) is not in the UK but the overseas section did not seem appropriate.

Has any one got any experience of taking a caravan over there? I have travelled to Ireland a few times with my work but have never taken a caravan. We would like to go sometime in the summer, there will be 2 adults and one dog, do many ferries take dogs?

I have been on to a couple of Ferry operator's websites to find prices etc but they seem very longwinded, and some are already booked up! What sort of price would it be? I have found one price of nearly £400, is this about average?

Any help will be much appreciated...thanks.

Chris it is just the same as hear I spent 1 month in Ireland last year Ferrys are better booked with CC or CC&C clubs

they get a better rate than you will if you go on line to Irish tourist board get them to send caravan sites book

then you can plan your trip

Hi Chris, I live in Ireland myself.The last couple of summers we have went over to your knack of the woods.We have found the best deals we got were at the holiday world shows.Car and van ,3 wee getts ,her in doors and a steering wheel attendent.
