Advice please

I've been thinking of buying a caravan for some time and now feel ready to go for one. I have a Honda CRV SE (2001, Petrol, Automatic) which apparently has a noseweight of 50Kg...is this sufficient to tow a 2 berth caravan like a Swift Charisma, Lunar Zenith or Ariva?

Thanks

Nosewight limit is not very high. Check the kerb wieght of your car and then llok for a caravan with a maximum permissible weight of about 75% of this. Work out what 7% of this caravan weight is and see how this looks against 50kg.

These sums give you a maximum caravan weight recommended for towing (v. car kerb weight) and the noseweight recommended for stability (between 5 and 7% of the caravan max. weight)Then you can check against various caravan specifications. Maximum permissible weight is shown as MIMRO or similar.
