Advice with repairs

I'm unable to get a matching wall board due to the age of my van so i was wondering if it is possible to use anything else such as a vinyl wallpaper as that way it will be cheaper to re-do the whole van.

Also can you fit low wattage downlighters that you would use in the home into a caravan?

Thanks

Just had the same problem myself - fortunately (or unfortunately) for me I live in Hul which has it's fair share of caravan manufacturers. A quick call to most of them made me aware that you can buy parts directly from them if you ask nicely and they are very cheap!

I've just rebuilt the back end of my 1988 Swift Rapide for just over 20 quid. Was quoted 800 to do it!

May not be much help to you but if you live near any caravan manufacturers they might be able to supply you with some parts. Mine wasnt a perfect match but it was close enough.

Whilst researching though a few people said that vinyl wallpaper is fine to use.

Hope this helps! Sorry for rambling!

I do not know the area you must renovate, but it may be possible to remove matching wall board from unseen parts of the van (eg. under the front seats, inside the wardrobe etc), and piece up these unseen areas with nearly matching new wallboard.
