Advise needed for hole in worksurface

Ive learnt my lesson not to stow heavy objects in overhead lockers!!!:-( On arriving at the site, I discovered that a glass pasta jar fell out of cupboard and caused a great big hole in the worksurface. We have an 1997 Elddis Hurricane and would like any advise on replacing a top, above the fridge.

Wha a shame. Similar thing happened to us some years ago.

Trying to repair the hole will always looka bit of a botch. The best way is to contact the various caravan breakers around the country and see if they can sell you a replacement.

We've placed one large ceramic tile over a damaged work surface further to burn damage from a hot pan and something falling on it. It covers the damage and provides a valuable heat proof surface for hot pans.
 
Alan I undersatnd that they are very good every time someone brings up this topic it takes me half an hour going back through the threads to find the link.
 
Hi Plotter, what a great bit of info you have given us, i have put it into my black book.

We had a small tea caddy fall onto our work surface, made quite a dent, used to cover it with a plastic surface mat, when we traded the van the dent was exposed but nothing was ever said, so the new purchaser could see it .

It was this in mind when somebody said that they leave their telly in the overhead locker space when towing , he had quite a few answers.

Another example that the sooner the Mods and Haymarket update the search engines the sooner we will all be able to find the treasures of info that already exist on this site, including the gems from Plotter!

Come on Haymarket , this is a well supported site. Surely it doesn't cost that much to upgrade?
