hi there just got my self citroen picasso xara 1.6 x reg i know its not much of an engine size when it comes to towing a caravan but would i be able to tow a caravan and if so what would be the types and sizes i need to look at only lookin for a 2 berth but whats the max sixe or weight i could go for thanks for the help and advise.

To my knowledge, all early Xsaras except the 1.6 Picasso have a max. towload of 1100kg. The 1.6 Picasso that you have I think is rated at only 900kg (the brochure of the current 1.6, however, shows 1300kg, so it would be wise to check). You should find the necessary information in the owner's handbook.
If the figure is 900kg, this could limit your choice of caravan, even if it is only going to be a 2 berth, quite considerably.

hi there thanks for the advise i have looked at manual on car does state 900 kg i have seen a elddis mistral gtx 2 berth near to were i live looks in good condition and checked the weight its 848kg is that ok and does that mean not much can go in the van when towing mostly my equipment and items that i want to use will have to go in the car ,also found a abi award caravan even 2/4 berth thats under the 900 weight also am i getting the right idea thanks for all the help again.
