AKS1300 Stabiliser

Hi i have a Elddis caravan fitted with a AKS1300 Stabiliser. I have got a AKS3004 and would like to swop them. Is this possable as the 1300 is fitted with 1 bolt on the side and 1 on the top, the 3004 is fitted with 2 on the side. Thanks for any reply Mark

do you need to change the one you have should be for the right wheight.

just thought if it was a case of just swopping them over i`d change it. the aks3004 is a bit easier to use

i dont think you will get any more performance out off the head because the whieght is ok for the one you have.

I changed from the AKS 1300 to AKS3004 with no problems at all. Only reason I changed was because of a fault with the AK1300 and ALKO kindly replaced it with the AKS3004.
The fixing holes must be OK as it's all ALKO chassis etc so you should be OK.
Can't say if it's better as I only used it once.

Elddis use BPW chassis

The 1300 only has two friction pads, and is rated upto 1300kg.
The later improved versions came with four friction pads.

elddis used alko but changed around 1999? so it could be the origanal.

its a 1997. so can it be changed as the bolts are different or should i leave it
