AL-KO Jaccking Brackets

Hi There HELP

Has anyone fitted these to there caravan are they easy to fit.

Do you just bolt to the chassis is there bols through the floor of the caravan.

Dead easy to fit. Only two bolts through the chassis on each side.Before tightening them up, fit the jack into them to make sure they are lined up "true".

I hope you haven't wasted your money on an Al-Ko jack. They don't work unless you are popeye!

Hi Stephen,

I fitted these to my 'van. They are the same as the '2tonne' illustration in SBSs post above.

I had to hacksaw off one lug on one bracket as there was some pipework underneath in the way. It does not affect its use in any way as it fastens to the chassis not the floor of the 'van.

I have never used it to change a wheel yet (fingers crossed) but I do use it lot for minor side-to-side levelling when setting up on site.

i.e.Jack the low side up a bit until level; but do sit the jack on a large flat base.

Stephen, the other thing to consider is, if you have a spare wheel carrier ajacent to this type jack and the punture is on the near side, its impossible to remove the carrier to get at the spare wheel with the jack in place. Found this out after buying and fitting one!!!!!!! Al-Ko realy though that one out!!!!!

Hi, if you have a puncture you need to skew the spare wheel carrier towards the back of the van and it will then pull out past the jack.
