My Alco Stabiliser is becoming very difficult to engage. I have to actually stand on the handle to put it down. Is there any way you can ease the pressure. I understand the tighter it is the better it is.
I suspect your alko hitch has a fault either displaced pads or some other fault that is stopping it from engaging the ball correctly it should not be THAT stiff, how long have you had it, and has it allways been stiff.
Hi as well as the 2 side pads there is front & rear pads as well.If the front pad is loose or faulty it could prevent the ball from seating properly. I had trouble releasing the tow ball from mine & it was caused by the front/top pad breaking up
