Alde 3030 Dual Zone System

Its our first outing in our new Bessacarr 830 and this issue has got me stumped. I’ve spent hours trawling the web and reading the instruction manual and can only conclude there is a fault?
We have the Alde compact 3030 which has 2 separate temperature sensors, one in the lounge and one in the bedroom. According to the instructions and information on the web, it should display the temperatures for each zone but actually shows nothing. I’ve gone into the system configuration setting and ticked dual zone and upon existing, it flashes up error on zone one and two. If I untick, these zone settings the heating screen shows actual and set temperature, presumably for the lounge as I would have expected to show for single zone.

In my mind there should be temperature reading for the bedroom and lounge and temperature setting for both? Any one else had this or any ideas what the issue is?

when I had my van I added an extra temperature sensor in the lounge. I could then switch between which sensor was being used. (But in reality, I just left it on the lounge). I could have added a sensor in the bedroom but saw no point.

I forget how, but there was a way to choose which sensor you wanted it to use in the setting. But only 1 was used at a time.

I am relying on a poor memory for this. But Alde UK are excellent if you give them a call.

Not many of us would have the new 3030 system so probably better to contact ALDE direct as they are very helpful. You can then post the result on here which may be helpful to others. (y) :D

My caravan has the previous 3020 system. When I first got it I played around with the settings for the heating especially the settings for the lounge and bed area. If I selected bedroom, the heating wouldn't turn off, I had to manually reduce the temperature on the panel. It was only later that I discovered that my caravan has only two not three temperature sensors, one in the Alde control panel itself and the other in the lounge area, I don't have one in the bedroom area. However, when I selected bedroom, I didn't get the sensor failure warning shown in your second picture. This must be a feature of the new 3030 system.
It might be worth checking to see if the sensor in the bedroom is actually wired up before you do anything else.

Yes, I’ve dropped them a line so hopefully they’ll respond next week. I’ll certainly share the response. I still think it’s a fault 🤔

Hi
noticed on third photo that you have underfloor heating ticked. Does the Bessacarr have this feature? If not it needs to be deselected. Not sure if that would help.

Yes I did, please see below..

Although you have two sensors fitted there wont be the pipework installed for the dual zone, currently all UK vans are still single zone. You will need to go back into the settings menu and disable dual zone to clear the error message. As standard you will have a sensor that is built into the control panel, Swift also wire a remote sensor with a switch in the bedroom, the idea being that in the evening time you can manually turn the sensor on in the bedroom and this will override the

one that is built into the panel.
