Alde display

Hi all currently shielding in my caravan on my driveway had a problem tonight the alde display above the door went blank and when I try and switch it back on it lights up for a split second and then goes off again has any one got any ideas

Have you checked the batteries on the back of it?

Hi woodentop I have taken the display out but there is no batteries in the back of the unit

Is your leisure battery OK? If it is is the caravan master switch on? If so then I suggest rebooting the Alde system. Probably the only way to do this is either remove the appropriate fuse or disconnect the leisure battery, of course with no hook up. Wait 20 mins and reconnect. Some Alde panels have a soft memory that takes 20 minutes to clear. Hope it helps.

Batteries, are an option that enables the clock time setting to be maintained when towing or otherwise when the Alde is not powered by 12 VDC.
IMO the batteries fitted or not will play no part in the issue reported.
I would similarly to "Waffler"recommend doing a hard reboot.

Thanks waffler I will give a go tomorrow my local caravan engineer has told me that the panel might be faulty or the PCB on the boiler 🙁
