Alde heating system

This may sound a stupid question as its the first caravan I've owed with the alde system. I've a 2021 Bailey Alicanto Grande Faro which i upgraded from a 2009 swift conquerer with the blown air and separate water heating system. I like to keep the heating on low during the cold winter period but is it safe when drained down or can this damage the hot water heater as obviously no water in the tank? Hope this makes sense and thanks in advance

It's ok to use the Alde heating in my 2011 Bailey Unicorn so I would guess your 2021 model would be ok. I had to use it one winter when we arrived on site as the water pipes were frozen and I couldn't fill the onboard tank, it was fine. I found the information in my owners handbook

I think that was the first time I read the manual properly ๐Ÿ™‚ After starting off with a hairdryer trying to thaw out I suddenly wondered if the heating could go on without filling the tank.

Just got the owners pack out and yes all safe haha. The only time I've previously opened it is to get the service book out to be stamped each year
