See under General.
What's next.

A step in the right direction for me.
BUT. Can I retain my carpets?
What happens if I suffer floor panel delamination?

Of course you can ;)

This looks to be laid on a underlay so you would just carefully take it up and then re-lay it after any work was done ( i would ;) )

Hello Sproket

On Caravan Finder TV the Alde representative had a sample floor panel showing the system, it was a pipe with heated water from the system running through it and a metal difuser plate over the top of the pipe running the length of the van.He said there were four pipes that ran the length of the van embedded in the floor panel,so the pipes are surrounded with the insulation in the sandwich construction, I imagine it will just warm the floor, the Alde rep also claimed it would allow users to set their temperature a couple of degrees lower as the van would feel warmer overall, not enough to make me buy a Buccaneer though

Hi WC,

I wondered the same thing, but if it removes the need for pipes and fin packs around the periphery of the van then it might just balance out.

Have a look @ page 34/35 for the Alde system

Whichever system you choose there will be a slight weight penalty, but I think that the electric one is the way to go more so if you have any problems it can be easily removed & refitted, unless you are in a position to change your van every few years before the warranty expires...

Whilst looking around i found this system it's from Sweden and designed for caravans ( they get it a bit colder than us )

This is fitted under some laminate flooring ..
