Can anyone advise please as to whether it's still possible to do a U turn by the Starbucks on the A23 after leaving the M23 as we're heading for Alderstead Heath next week? Richie
I was able to about six months ago. But if you're towing you can't drive up Dean Lane. You need to head back down the A23 then do a left turn from there.
I tried to do a U turn there, but there were lorries parked in the way. Carried on for about a mile to the roundabout.
As Jaydug said, don't attempt to go up Dean Lane, and carry on using the recommended CC stated route.
Thanks for your replies. Yes i know Dean Lane is very narrow and steep.I'll just have to make a quick judgement on the road by Starbucks. I noticed a couple of years that ago some vans/ lorrieswould sometimes park there so its pot luck. I thought perhaps that the powers that be might have made it a "no uturn" as so many were doing it.
