Aldi speed camera detector Talex Lite

Has anyone got the Aldi speed camera detector Talex Lite.

I find the speech on mine rasping.

Aldi don't/won't allow the use of another (demo) to compare with another unit but will replace it.

There seems no point in a replacement if its going to be the same.

Any comments on the quality other than slow down as has been made by the enlightened on another website !!!

John, try another detector, you may not gain anything but it'll cost you nothing to find out.

I was all set to do that but I had 2 replies on Nissan XT website and they seem to have the same voice quality.
