alko or winterhoff hitch head stabilizer

Performancewise there is nothing to choose betwen the two, but the Winterhoff is a shade easier to use as it has only one handle to operate. It also suffers less from a potential foul condition with rear mounted spare wheels of some 4x4's.

Having had vans with both types, currently Winterhoff, I prefer the Winterhoff.

As Lutz says, it only uses one handle to operate both functions and the Robstop Plus Hitchlock is a formidable hitchlock, unlike the Al-Ko offering which is, sometimes, a fiddle to apply.

The Winterhoff also does not require the extended neck towball.
