Hi
How can I get 12v supply to AlKo ATC at home to reset the system? I need a connection for 11hrs 58 mins (according to AlKo). Service people "say" they've done this. Hmm.. I need to connect domestic 240v to 12v feed to van 13 pin female.
Help!
Colin

Plug it into your car? There shoukd be a permanent 12v supply from it. If your ATC cycles when you connect up then that proves it, so plug it in, go to bed and all sorted tge next morning. It won't flatten your cars battery.

My worry about doing that was that it would flatten car battery. I'll do it next weekend when away (van lives in storage cos no room at home) but I'll be around to yours if my car wont start in the cold light of day
Thanks

Unless your car battery is on its very last legs it won't be a problem! If you are going to tow it any distance it may well clear itself whilst being towed!
Sometimes, if you hitch up and drive forward just a few feet and then brake it will clear the memory.
Let us know how you get on.

Many modern cars would "go back to sleep" when you lock the doors and set the alarm - ie disconnect the 12v supply to the trailer socket - so may not be practical to leave it unlocked for 12 hours.
