ALKO Stabaliser

I am new to caravanning and have just purchased a Bailey Ranger. I want to use an ALKO stabaliser on it and have been offered one by a friend for £100 who will fit it. Should i let him fit it or would people recommend a professional to fit it?

I fitted a 1300 to my van a few years ago. It involves removing 2 bolts from the existing coupling, removing it and replacing it with the ALKO. Easy enough to do but if you are not sure get someone to do it for you.

Since it is second hand you may want to check/replace the friction pads. Also see if you can get the security cover and plastic ball with the stabiliser.

Thanks Graeme for your advice, much appreciated.
