alko stabliser

I have noticed while towing that my alko rises.The hitch is secure , so could it be that the pads need cleaning or changing.

What rises - is it the ALKO handle or is it the whole coupling head lifting up on the tow ball? Or something else entirely?

When you couple the ALKO to the tow ball - do you see the green "safety" indicator post on the coupling head? Do you see the green mark on the coupling handle? Do any of these stay in the red?

Rob,the hitch is ok ,the green indicator button is shown,its just the alko handle that lifts.

Hi,

That sounds like an AL-KO 2000 or 2004 stabiliser, and it's being nudged by something whilst you are driving.

Your problem could be cables fouling the handle and when you turn a corner they force the handle up!
