We will be on our third winter at La Manga this year. We don't use the same route as you are planningb but for Poitiers always stay at La Futuriste www.camping-le-futuriste.fr They are part of the Camping Cheques network. http://www.campingcheque.co.uk/en/ We have found them to be excellent value off season as are ACSI http://www.eurocampings.co.uk/en/europe/ Have a good trip and see you in La Manga

Hi Nicholas has already told you about the Futuriste site at Poitiers.

The site at St Jean de Luz is La Rouletta and is just off Sortie 2 of the autoroute. Large le Clerc supermarket (white building) as you come up the slip road.

The site south of Zaragoza is listed under Calatayud and is at Savinan - there is only one site listed. Again, easy to find about 6km from the autovia.

The site at Manzanera is a bit more tricky from the Tereul to Valencia autovia. Leave the autovia signed Sarrion then follow the old N234 south esat until you come to a turn signed Estacion de Mora - a right hand turn, probably also signed Manzanera. Continue past the station for about 7km - don't worry, the road actually goes somewhere. Site is at filling station on left as you come to the town. Site yourself and pay at the filling station between 17.00 and 19.00 in winter. Don't rely on the station being open in the morning. Their diesel is pretty reasonable too.

If you can get a bit further, you will see navajas signed from the autovia - just follow the signs towards the town - about 2km and you will see camping sign on a left hand turn. quite steep, some of the pitches at the top have kerbs which can make it awkward with a big van. The level one down from the top is best.

Given good weather Navajas and district is worth a day or so stop over - for a big shop go back on the autovia towards valencia and then follow porto de sagunto - Carrefour and others are well signed.

Have a good trip.

Forgot to say Sarion may be a bit difficult to see on the map. It'sd right on the spiral wrap join between pages 52 and 53 of my Michelin Spain and Portugal road atlas.

Also beware if you are using autoroute Express 2007 as it is way out of date for the autovia Tereul to Valencia - I reckon at least 3 to 4 years.

Ray you are a diamond thanks for all your help, when in La Manga look for a Coachman with a black Sata Fe. A glass will be waiting for you

We spent the winter at La Manga and have just got back. We stayed at Bonterra Park at Benacassim, then just over the border at Paulau de Vidre at La Haras, then on a Municipal just off the A20 , literally at Morterolles near Bessines du Gartemps, then at Remy sur Avre at a municipal which is just past Dreux left there 8am and got a lunchtime ferry over to the UK. La Manga is a great site for the winter you either love it or hate it and we love it and will be down there next winter, so maybe see you there.

Hi all,

Just to say that we like a Manga so much we have bought a parcella with a static on it and will be going in June for a week and maybe Sept before going down for the winter. The site has everything we want i.e. very flat for walking and cycling, indoor and outdoor pools. Very good supermarket on site, a continuous social programme, lots to do around and about.. Cartegena is only a 40 min. drive away and the city is lovely, the airport is only twenty mins drive away but best of all we have made lots of lovely friends there with whom we meet up with every year.

Hi again. It certainly seems that we have made a good choice for our first long winter trip, reading all your various posts on La Manga it's like a reunion every year. You don't go to the same place time after time if there's a problem. Jen and I hope we will meet some of you when we are there. Thanks again for all the posts and info.
