All year touring park near Doncaster

Hi All
I know Doncaster isnt exactly a huge tourist resort, but we will be putting our house up for sale soon and moving there.

We are not planning on immediately buying or renting, however due to the fact that I work there I need to be reasonably close, so we are looking at spending a bit of time in the caravan.

Bearing in mind that SWMBO will proably get the urge to go shopping once in a while and have some sort of human contact, does anyone know of any sites in the area that are open all year round? I know there are a couple of sites in the West Stockworth/ Misterton area, but would prefer somewhere at least on a main bus route if possible.

many thanks for any suggestions

Rick

Hi
Not in Doncaster but on the south side of Wakefield- easy drive to Doncaster, some people we know stopped at a caravan site near the National trust property in Wakefield. Not sure if they still take touring caravans

Hi

Nostell Priory Park, some people we know stopped there for the gap between them having sold their house and their new one being ready a few years ago. There are reviews on the ukcampsites. Its next door to Nostell Priory National trust. We liked Nostell Priory for wallking prior to relocating. Wakefield has a nice victorian christmas market. Hope this helps

Try Waterfront Country Park @ West-Stockwith, lovely park in a nice location, about 30 mins drive from Donny. You'll have to use van facilities though, they're building a toilet block but its not finished yet.

I dropped in there a couple of weeks ago for a look around as I was in the area. Looks ideal to be honest, and very reasonably priced. Ddo you know if there are any buses out that way, wouldnt want SWMBO to be totally cut off from the rest of the world while Im at work.
