I don't think you can upload pdf as seems to be restricted to jpeg images. A way around it is to take a photo of the pdf contents and post as a photo. Not practical if it is an owner's manual etc.

Buckman ,cheers it was in fact a manual in question, I've all sorts from the 80's onwards when I tried to upload it informed me "format not allowed., ironically those that are can't be read as my attempted upload covered the list,,thanks Buckman

On other forums I have been able to upload large pdf files, but generally I would use an gmail address to send a pdf to an individual who specifically requested it.

You could put it on iCloud / OneDrive / Google drive and create a shared link?
Wouldn't that mean they woul have access to other stuff on that persons Cloud/Drive etc, or does it just allow access to the one link. ?

No, you can literally share and individual file via a link.... Provided you don't share the directory.

I use iCloud to share photo albums and all the recipients can see is the specific album. I can withdraw the permission if required.
