alloy wheel size

Sharon the 5.5" J measurement is between the inner beads of the wheel,so one of the wheels is half an inch narrower than the other. The pcd (pitch circle diameter) is the measurement of a circle drawn around the 4 wheel studs. Alko use 100mm pcd so do vauxhall, opel Bmw and Vw

It's also important to know whether the wheels and the caravan are 4 stud or 5. As wheel sizes go up, both car and caravan manufacturers are changing to 5 stud, or already have.

If you're looking to fit alloy wheels on your caravan, make sure that they're rated for the load (max axle load divided by 2, or 4). The max load, per wheel, should be cast or stamped, usually on the inside. Most, but not all, car alloys either have a load limit too low for modern caravans or no stamped limit at all.
